Steve McClaren will address the media this afternoon ahead of tomorrow's game against Crystal Palace.

The week has been dominated by the fallout from last weekend's 3-0 home defeat to Leicester City.

There was a heated inquest into the loss at the club's training ground where head coach McClaren challenged those he feels aren't pulling their weight.

And it is clear that McClaren is losing patience with a number of under-performing players, among them Fabricio Coloccini and Moussa Sissoko.

Forward Siem de Jong, pushing for a start at Selhurst Park, has had his say on what went wrong against Leicester.

Papiss Cisse also hopes to feature against Palace, having scored in the corresponding fixture last season.

The striker is gunning for Alan Pardew, his former manager at Newcastle.

Also, log on to shieldsgazette.com later for Alan Shearer's verdict on Ayoze Perez and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
