Coloccini, sidelined since February with a calf injury, was at Villa Park for the weekend's goalless draw against Aston Villa.
The result left Newcastle on the brink of relegation to the Championship.
And Coloccini – who was in the side relegated in 2009 – took a question on his future after the match.
