Seydou Doumbia will make his Newcastle United debut tonight.

The striker, signed on loan from AS Roma last week, is in Peter Beardsley's squad for tonight's Under-21 Premier League game against Stoke City at St James's Park.

Defender Jamaal Lasceles, suspended for Saturday's 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, will also play.

Fit-again Steven Taylor – who made his comeback in the game – has been talking about the hugely-important victory and his own return to the starting XI.

And head coach Steve McClaren has been talking about the future of Cheick Tiote, who also return to the team.

Finally, writer Miles Starforth gives his verdict on the game – and McClaren's own position.
