Steve McClaren will face the media this afternoon ahead of Saturday's game against Premier League leaders Arsenal.

McClaren's relegation-threatened side, beaten 1-0 by West Bromwich Albion on Monday, are two points adrift of safety.

And for news and updates from McClaren's Press conference later today, go to our live blog here.

In the meantime, captain Fabricio Coloccini has been speaking about the club's defeat at The Hawthorns.

Coloccini has responded to the boos from the away end that greeted the final whistle.

And the 33-year-old has conceded that the team will be in "trouble" if they don't start getting results.

Meanwhile, we have taken a look at the tributes that have been made to former Newcastle goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek.

Our writer Miles Starforth has paid an affectionate tribute to Srnicek, who died yesterday, nine days after suffering a cardiac arrest while running in his native Czech Republic.
