Steve McClaren will address the media later today ahead of tomorrow's home game against Stoke City.
And there will be plenty to talk about given the fallout from last weekend's Wear-Tyne derby defeat to Sunderland.
The club, which is second-bottom of the Premier League, yesterday sent an email to fans from McClaren apologising for the 3-0 loss.
And goalkeeper Rob Elliot has talked about the importance of taking the positives out of the derby defeat.
One of the negatives to come from the Sunderland game was the loss of midfielder Jack Colback, who will be sidelined with a knee injury until mid-November.
However, there had been fears Colback would be sidelined until January.
Stoke manager Mark Hughes has already held his pre-match Press conference.
Meanwhile, Mike Williamson is expected to make his debut for loan club Wolverhampton Wanderers against Birmingham City at St Andrews tomorrow.
The defender's career at St James's Park looks to be coming to an end ahead of January's transfer window.
