Steve McClaren's performance as Newcastle United head coach will be reviewed this month, according to a report today.

McClaren's side are second-bottom of the Premier League ahead of Sunday's home game against Liverpool.

The tough fixture is followed by an away game against Tottenham Hotspur.

And the Mirror, the club's "preferred media partner", report that there will be a review of under-pressure McClaren's position after the match at White Hart Lane.
