In the meantime, we have news of two players who United manager Rafa Benitez doesn't expect to be fit before the end of the season.

The Palace game is followed by a visit to Villa Park on May 7.

Newcastle quickly sold out their 2,900-seat allocation for the Aston Villa match and asked the relegated club for another batch of tickets.

The club has revealed Villa's response in a tweet.

Meanwhile, teenage midfielder Sean Longstaff, offered a third-year scholarship, has spoken about Newcastle's disappointing Under-21 Premier League campaign and the club's faith in him.
