Jonjo Shelvey's opened up about his decision to stay at Newcastle United in the wake of relegation.
A number of players, including Andros Townsend, Moussa Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum, left the club in the summer.
But Shelvey, signed for £12million from Swansea City in January, stayed at St James's Park.
And the midfielder, an influential player for Rafa Benitez so far this season, has revealed why leaving was NEVER on his mind.
Shelvey, 24, has also given a fascinating insight into Benitez's man-management skills – and a missed opportunity with the Spaniard at Liverpool six years ago.
And Newcastle manager Benitez has also explained his decision to "rest" DeAndre Yedlin against Rotherham United at the weekend.
Finally, away tickets for United's game against Barnsley at Oakwell on Tuesday, October 18 (7.45pm kick-off) are now on general sale.
Newcastle have been given an allocation of 5,500 seats, and around 800 are left.
