Newcastle United's hopes of landing Saido Berahino are seemingly fading.
The club has made no progress in talks with West Bromwich Albion about a club-record move for the striker.
And Tottenham are ready to make a final attempt to sign Berahino, having tried and failed to land the 22-year-old last summer.
Newcastle are looking at other striking options as winger Andros Townsend undergoes a medical ahead of move to St James's Park.
Townsend travelled to Tyneside last night with his representatives after Tottenham accepted a £12million bid from United.
The practice game will be staged at the Stadium of Light.
