The goalkeeper was in the Swansea City team which was beaten by Brentford in the play-off final. Woodman – who has spent the past two seasons on loan at the Liberty Stadium – was a key player for Swansea, and the 24-year-old has been nominated for the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award.

Former Newcastle players Ivan Toney (Brentford) and Adam Armstrong (Blackburn Rovers) have also been nominated.

Woodman – who has two years left on his contract – is keen to be playing games next season.
