Subject to the £300million takeover of Amanda Staveley being approved by the Premier League, the report states United’s owners-in-waiting are already in contact with leading agents ahead of the summer transfer window.

One player that has come to the attention is Fraser and a new and extremely wealthy Newcastle are being tipped to entice him to St James’s Park.

They say the new ownership – which includes Saudi Arabia’s PIF and the Reuben brothers – are planning major investment in players and infrastructure in order to ‘major moves in the market’.
