As exclusivity revealed by the Gazette, Bellagraph Nova Group are bidding to become new owners of the Magpies after PCP, the Reuben brothers and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia withdrew their £300million offer.

1. Mikhail Prokhorov
The Gazette received word on Prokhorov in October 2017. It proved complicated, though, as he had to sell NBA basketball side Brooklyn Nets first. A takeover bid never did arrive from the Russian, who is reportedly worth £11.4bn. Photo: Getty Images
2. Arthur Blank
In December 2018, it was claimed Ashley had been in the USA trying to complete a deal before his infamous showing on Sky News. It was a saga that didn't last very long as the Atlanta United owner’s representatives denied all knowledge. Photo: Getty Images
3. Saudi Group
Mootaz Chehade sent Twitter into meltdown when he tweeted a Saudi Group were preparing a 'huge' bid. Unsurprisingly, it went no further than an exciting day on social media. Photo: Getty Images
4. Orlegi Sports group
The Mexico-based company’s interest resurfaced a couple of times in 2019 but the biggest claim followed in November when chairman Alejandro Irarragorri said he was close to purchasing a Premier League club. Reports suggested it was indeed Newcastle. Photo: Getty Images
