Newcastle United need to wait until Monday before they are in action once more, making the long trip south to face Brighton. While the Magpies are ensconced in mid table, well away from relegation trouble. The same can’t be said for their opponents.
Much of the interest in the Magpies, however, regards the takeover. Fans are eager for progress as they seek Mike Ashley’s exit from the club so to usher in a new era and hopefully some big transfers.
