Christian Atsu is already back in training at Newcastle United – after recovering from surgery.
The winger missed the end of last season with a knee injury.
Atsu – who had an operation on the problem – posted a video of himself running and doing ball work at the club's Benton training ground.
The 26-year-old said: "Step by step, day by day. Things are getting better."
Atsu, signed from Chelsea last summer, had been playing through the pain barrier.
Speaking last month, the Ghana international said: "I've had it for three years now, and I've been playing with it, but I thought to myself that this was the right time to solve this problem."
