NEWCASTLE United boss Alan Pardew has been named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for November.
Pardew led United to three wins out of four last month, with their only blip being a 1-0 loss at West Ham United.
Newcastle’s three victories came against Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion and Queens Park Rangers – all without conceding a goal.
Pardew beat off competition from Burnley’s Sean Dyche, Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho and Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini to win the award.
The last time he won it was exactly a year ago, for November 2013.
After picking up the award, Pardew said: “It is a huge honour to be named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month.
“Our recent form has been a real team effort both on and off the pitch.
“The players have been fantastic during this time and huge credit must also go to my staff, who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
“It is nice to be recognised for our results but we will not get carried away by this and will do everything we can to make sure December is just as good a month for us.”
