The Magpies picked up their second consecutive Premier League win with a 2-1 victory over West Brom on Saturday. Steven Bruce men have been beset with absences after a spate of positive Covid tests in recent weeks, but should be able to welcome the likes of Federico Fernandez and Ryan Fraser back to the squad for Wednesday’s clash.

For their part, Leeds have struggled at home this term, and have taken just five points from six Premier League outings at Elland Road this term.

By contrast, the Magpies have lost just one away match this season, and Owen is of the belief that they can keep that run going.

Speaking to Bet Victor, he said: “Leeds took the lead against West Ham but came away empty handed after a late Angelo Ogbonna header ensured the points were heading back to East London.

"It’s now 1 win in 6 matches for Marcelo Bielsa’s side with home form a big concern.

Newcastle got there in the end against West Brom. They left it late but will be happy to get a result after a couple of chaotic weeks.

“Interestingly, the Magpies have lost only once on the road this season. That said, I don’t think there’s much between these two, and I think Leeds should have enough here to get a point.”

Owen has predicted a 1-1 draw between his former club and the Whites.
