Rafa Benitez is hopeful of more progress in the transfer market at Newcastle United.
The club, which has signed six players so far this summer, has had an offer for Anthony Knockaert rejected by Brighton and Hove Albion.
And a number of players, including Moussa Sissoko, Florian Thauvin and Cheick Tiote, are expected to leave before the transfer window closes at the end of next month.
Speaking after today's 3-2 win over Vitesse Arnhem at St James's Park, Benitez said: "We are still working behind the scenes and trying to do some deals.
"I am happy, but I still think we need more balance. We have 46 games to play in the Championship.
"The squad is not short, but we have players who maybe will leave. We have to replace those players.
"We are working with the agents of the players who are currently here."
