Daryl Janmaat and Fabricio Coloccini will NOT be back for tomorrow night’s home game against Manchester City.
Janmaat is nursing a groin problem and also has a cast on the hand he fractured punching a door at Southampton nine days ago.
I was talking with them both before, so we will see how they feel. I think (Tuesday) will still be too soon.Rafa Benitez
And captain Coloccini has been sidelined with a calf injury since February.
The pair watched Saturday’s 3-0 PRmeier League win over Swansea City from the sidelines.
“I was talking with them both before, so tomorrow we will see how they feel,” said United manager Rafa Benitez.
“I think (Tuesday) will still be too soon.”
Paul Dummett returned to the starting XI against Swansea after a spell out with a hamstring problem.
And Benitez felt the left-back gave his team a better balance.
“At least we’ve seen Paul Dummett come back and we had a better shape about us because to play a right-footer on the left side is a problem for us.
“You can play the ball from the back sometimes from both sides when you’ve got people in the right positions and it’s better for us.
