Rafa Benitez is yet to decide who will lead Newcastle United against Manchester City.

Benitez dropped stand-in skipper Jonjo Shelvey and handed the armband to Moussa Sissoko at the weekend.

And Sissoko scored in a 3-0 win over Newcastle at St James's Park.

Benitez's side take on Man City on home turf tomorrow night knowing a win would lift the club out of the Premier League's relegation zone.

But United's manager is yet to decide on his starting XI – or his captain.

Asked who would lead his team, Benitez said: "I don't know. I still have to decide the team.

"I have to think about (Jonjo) Shelvey. You can guess for another day."

Meanwhile, club captain Fabricio Coloccini (calf) and Daryl Janmaat (hand and groin) will not be available to face Man City.

However, Benitez revealed that Kevin Mbabu (thigh) is "very close" to a playing return.
