Rafa Benitez will be without a clutch of players for Newcastle United's visit to Cardiff City.

Benitez's side are looking to claim a club-record 14th away win of the season at the Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow night.

Newcastle secured promotion to the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Preston North End on Monday night.

But a number of players won't be involved against Cardiff in the club's penultimate game of the Championship campaign.

Captain Jamaal Lascelles is sidelined along with Matt Ritchie, Grant Hanley, Vurnon Anita and Jesus Gamez.

"In terms of injuries, we have had some players playing with problems," said United manager Benitez.

"They will not be in the squad."

On the Cardiff game, he added: "It is very competitive and it will be very difficult.

“With all the things going on, we are trying do do things business as usual."
