Second-bottom Newcastle boosted their chances of Premier League survival with a 3-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday ahead of the visit of City on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game, Benitez has revealed he is yet to decide who will lead Newcastle United against Manchester City.

Benitez dropped stand-in skipper Jonjo Shelvey and handed the armband to Moussa Sissoko at the weekend.

He said: "I don't know. I still have to decide the team."

Meanwhile, City have been handed a double fitness boost after it was confirmed captain Vincent Kompany and forward Raheem Sterling.

But Newcastle will be without Fabricio Coloccini and Daryl Janmaat at St James's Park.
