Remy Cabella is happy at Newcastle United – and doesn’t want to quit the club this summer.
Reports this morning suggested the French midfielder was unsettled on Tyneside just 12 months after signing from Lyon.
It was reported that he had opened negotiations over a loan move to Marseille, but these have been rubbished by the player’s father, Hector.
“My son is fine in Newcastle,” he told respected French newspaper L’Equipe.
“He will resume with his club on July 1.
“He has the ambition to make a great season for Euro 2016.
“We have no discussions with OM (Marseille) or anyone . He signed six years, not to leave after one season.“
Cabella struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League after his £7.1million move last season, scoring just once.
