START ... Ryan Taylor, left.

NEWCASTLE United’s Ryan Taylor will make his first start in more than three months at St James’s Park tonight.

Taylor comes in against Manchester United at left-back with Massadio Haidara injured.

The 30-year-old – who missed two years of football after twice rupturing his cruciate ligament – suffered an setback on his last start against Queens Park Rangers in late November.

Otherwise, head coach John Carver has named an unchanged side for the Premier League game (7.45pm kick-off).

Carver is without a clutch of players, among them midfielder Remy Cabella.

Cabella – who has missed the club’s last two games with a knee injury – will return to training next week ahead of the March 15 game against Everton at Goodison Park.

Winger Jonas Gutierrez, fit again after being given the all-clear following treatment for testicular cancer, is again on the bench.

Newcastle are 11th in the Premier League, while Man United are fourth.
