DAVIDE Santon continues his comeback from a knee injury tonight after being named in Newcastle’s Under-21 side to take on Bolton tonight.
Santon is joined in the squad by Sammy Ameobi and Jonas Gutierrez, who are also battling back to full fitness.
Italian international Santon was on the bench against Chelsea, while Ameobi replaced Yoan Gouffran in the second half for his first appearance in a fortnight.
The game, at Whitley Park, will also see Adam Armstrong involved, while Callum Roberts and Lubomir Satka – who both made their senior bows in United’s FA Cup third round tie at Leicester City earlier this month – are also set to play.
Coach Peter Beardsley has also included midfielder Gael Bigirimana and goalkeeper Freddie Woodman in a strong squad as Newcastle look to extend their lead at the top of the Barclays Premier Under-21 Division Two.
