Steve Bruce reacts to Newcastle United's Ademola Lookman move
Steve Bruce was coy on Newcastle United’s move for Ademola Lookman ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Molineux.
The club hopes to sign 22-year-old Lookman on loan from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in this month’s transfer window.
Speaking ahead of the Wolverhampton Wanderers game, head coach Bruce said: “We’re like everybody else. We said from day one that January was always going to be difficult.
“I’ve said all along that if we can improve the team. I’ll try to do it. That goes for midfield, up front for a defender. It’s fair to say we would like to add to our firepower, of course we would, but it’s very difficult.”

Asked about United’s move for former Everton and Charlton Athletic winger Lookman, Bruce said: “I’ve been linked with 38 players that have been run past me. He’s one of them. He’s a good player, I like him, but it’s a bit far off at the minute.”
