Schar – who had surgery on a dislocated shoulder in the summer – was forced off in last night’s 3-1 win over Burnley at St James’s Park.
The sight of Schar leaving the pitch clutching the same shoulder was a worrying one for Steve Bruce. However, United's head coach doesn’t believe the injury will necessitate a move into the transfer market before Monday night’s deadline.

"I’ll not know about Fab Schar until, obviously, we scan him. We hope that he needs a bit of luck there. We hope that he hasn’t disrupted the shoulder where he’s just had surgery.”
