Steve McClaren insists he’s ‘happy’ with his squad but still wants more new players to come into the club before the transfer window closes.

McClaren, speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s game against Swansea, said he is still ‘searching’ for additions to his team and believes there will be activity between now and the end of the month.

He added: “There’s still a long way to go in terms of the squad, but we are getting towards what we want to move forward with.”

McClaren also revealed striker Emmanuel Riviere has undergone a knee operation, but that Remy Cabella and Paul Dummett were nearing fitness.

He said: ““Riviere has had a small operation on cartilage. Cabella and Dummet should be back in training on Monday.”
