WATCH: Newcastle's players put through their paces in Ireland by Rafa Benitez

Rafa Benitez has been putting his Newcastle United players through their paces ahead of tomorrow's pre-season opener.

The club opens its warm-up campaign with a friendly against Bohemian at Dalymount Park, Dublin.

And Benitez oversaw a double session at the Carlton House Hotel, County Kildare, today.

Absent were Siem de Jong and Kevin Mbabu, who have both returned to Tyneside for treatment, while Rob Elliot will not be involved.

Benitez will make a late decision on the fitness of England Under-19 international Adam Armstrong, who was ruled out of the European Under-19 Championships this month with a thigh injury.

United manager Benitez could hand debuts to summer signings Dwight Gayle, Matt Ritchie, Isaac Hayden, Matz Sels and Jesus Gamez at the 4.200-capacity stadium.
