When and where Newcastle will face Rochdale or Boston United in the FA Cup third round

Rochdale of League One were held to a goalless draw by National League North side Boston at the weekend and a second-round replay will now be played on Tuesday, December 10 (7:45pm kick-off).

Third Round fixtures are scheduled to take place across the first weekend of 2020 from Friday, January 3 to Monday January 6.

The game will come after Newcastle’s home game against Leicester City on New Year’s Day and before a trip to Wolves on Saturday, January 11.

Last season the Magpies were knocked out of the FA Cup at the fourth-round stage after a 2-0 defeat at home to Watford.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will host local rivals Everton, while former Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate will face his former side Tottenham when Spurs travel to Middlesbrough.
