We're expecting a deadline day full of drama and intrigue, as a number of high profile deals look to be concluded - a process which could see some clubs' pursuit of players go right down to the wire. Here's a look at where Newcastle United and all their Premier League rivals are looking to strengthen before the window shuts.
1. Bournemouth - Full-back
The Cherries have had an absolute nightmare this season, largely due to a mountain of injuries. Eddie Howe is struggling to sign players, but a left-back is top of his wish list. (Photo by GLYN KIRK/AFP via Getty Images) Photo: GLYN KIRK
2. Arsenal - Central defender
The Gunners blew pretty much their entire budget on attacker Nicolas Pepe last summer, which wasn't the wisest of moves. They desperately need a defender, and look likely to land Flamengo's Pablo Mari on loan. (Photo by Francois Nel/Getty Images) Photo: Francois Nel
3. Aston Villa - Striker
The Villains spent big last summer, and splashed the cash again this month on powerhouse forward Mbwana Samatta. They're still after another striker, with Islam Slimani among their targets. (Photo by NICOLAS TUCAT/AFP via Getty Images) Photo: NICOLAS TUCAT
4. Manchester City - Central defender
They certainly need one, but chances are they'll keep their powder dry until the summer before spending big. However, reports from Italy suggest they're after Inter's (also appropriately named) Milan Skriniar. (Photo by Chris Ricco/Getty Images) Photo: Chris Ricco
