Newcastle United have told Yoan Gouffran he can leave the club, according to a report today.
Gouffran, signed from Bordeaux two and a half years ago, was not involved in last weekend’s season-opener against Southampton.
The forward helped the club stay in the Premier League and went on to be a regular under Alan Pardew.
But the 29-year-old struggled for form during last season’s season’s relegation battle.
And the Daily Mail report that Gouffran, Haris Vuckic, Gael Bigirimana and Mehdi Abeid have been told that they are “available for transfer” this summer.
Forward Vuckic has a successful half-season loan at Rangers last season, while midfielder Abeid was on the fringes at Newcastle.
