Lille are set to rule out a move for Newcastle United's Yoan Gouffran – because they can't afford him!
Gouffran is open to a move away from St James's Park in this month's transfer window.
The forward is keen to play week in, week out, having made only one Premier League start this season.
Speaking last month, he said: "I'm here. I work hard. If I don't play, maybe I'm going to leave in January. I don't know."
Lille manager Frederic Antonetti yesterday confirmed that Gouffran, signed from Bordeaux three years ago, is one of a number of players who is of "interest" to the club.
But L'Equipe today report that of all the Ligue 1 clubs, only wealthy Paris Saint-Germain could afford the wages the 29-year-old takes home at United.
Gouffran is under contract at Newcastle until next year.
