Durham County FA will run six leagues during the 2016/17 season after a successful AGM.
More than 100 clubs attending to enter their teams into the leagues, which range from under-12s up to under-23s, and also a women’s league.
This forms part of Durham FA’s commitment to developing, retaining and the growth of the 11v11 format of the game across the county.
The full breakdowns of the leagues are as follows: Under-12s 9x9 and Futsal League (Sunday mornings); Under-14s Saturday League; Under-15s Saturday League; Under-18s Saturday League; Under-23s Sunday League; Women’s Sunday League.
The Under-14s league, meanwhile, has been sponsored by MH Goals, who specialise in manufacturing and distributing steel and aluminium football goals, as well as a range of other sports equipment.
John Topping, Company Secretary of Durham FA, said: “We are delighted to team up with MH Goals.
“The U14 League we offer forms part of our support package to the 11v11 game by providing clubs and teams the opportunity to continue play this format of the game on a Saturday, and this partnership will really make a difference to grassroots football in the county.”
