Hebburn Town boss Scott Oliver is eyeing revenge when his side host Easington on Wednesday night in a Northern League Division Two fixture.

The Hornets hope to continue their good recent form against another side going well.

And victory would be sweet for Hebburn after they were hammered 5-0 by Easington earlier in the season.

Oliver said: “Easington are going really well at the moment, like us, so I expect it to be a togh game.

“It’s time for us to gain revenge for the 5-0 defeat in September.”

Oliver has a number of selection concerns with Craig Malley and James Talbot out injured, while goalkeeper Steve Hubery – who saved a last-gasp penalty on Saturday in the win over Darlington RA – is a doubt through work.

However, Alan Pegram and Ross Toward return.

In the Wearside League, Boldon CA are hoping to build on their good form when they host title challengers Stockton Town.

Paul Mossa’s side produced a stunning performance at the weekend to defeat high-flying Hartlepool 4-3, despite being reduced to 10 men inside the first 10 minutes.

Mossa said: “There is good feeling around the club at the moment and we are receiving the full support of the committee to take the club to the next level.

“However, we won’t get carried away and will keep working hard both on and off the pitch.

“Stockton will present us with a huge challenge, however it’s one which we will relish.”

Harton and Westoe are also in Wearside League action and they welcome third-placed Sunderland West End.
