Jarrow Roofing head into tomorrow’s Northern League Division One clash knowing that a win at the Boldon CA Sports Ground could take them as high as 14th.

With Wednesday’s league clash at second-placed Shildon postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, tomorrow’s visit of Bishop Auckland will see the Roofers play off the back of a 3-2 win against Consett last week.

Bishops, who have played four league games more than the hosts this season, currently sit in 13th place in the table – just four points ahead of the hosts.

Having played the visitors twice already this season, Roofing will be hoping to recreate the result of the most recent game – a 2-1 win at Heritage Park in August in the FA Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round in which the Roofers looked very sure of themselves.

Roofing manager Richie McLoughlin has spoken of the unity around the squad and “the desire to do well for the team”, and the supremo heads into the game full of confidence.

McLoughlin will also be hoping to see Paul Chow continue his goalscoring exploits, the Northern League legend having scored nine goals in his last five games.

Kick off on South Tyneside is at 3pm.
