ALAN Pardew is now the heavy odds-on favourite for the Crystal Palace job as speculation continues to grow about his Newcastle United future.
Pardew was made the favourite for the position at Selhurst Park yesterday, and after he failed to speak to the press after Newcastle’s 3-2 win over Everton, his odds to take over at Palace shortened further.
The Eagles sacked Neil Warnock on Saturday, leaving them searching for their third permanent manager in five months.
Pardew played for the club between 1987 and 1991, and is as short as 2/7 with some bookmakers to rejoin Palace as their manager.
Newcastle have yet to comment on the speculation.
