ROLANDO Aarons could make his long-awaited Newcastle United comeback this week.
The winger has been out for the past six months with hamstring and thigh injuries.
Aarons suffered a minor setback last month – and it was feared his season was over.
But the 19-year-old successfully returned to training.
And he could play in tomorrow night’s Under-21 Premier League game against Blackburn Rovers at St James’s Park.
Asked if Aarons was close to a comeback, head coach Carver said: “Rolando might play in a reserves game this week.”
Carver and his staff will decide today whether Aarons is fit enough to be involved.
Aarons scored two goals in the first half of the season before succumbing to injury.
