Revealed: Why Dylan McGeouch missed Sunderland's defeat to Burton Albion
Dylan McGeouch was absent for Sunderland’s defeat to Burton Albion – with the midfielder having sustained a minor injury.
While seeing his opportunities limited under Phil Parkinson, McGeouch had been a regular on the bench in recent weeks.
But he was missing from the squad completely against the Brewers, with Parkinson confirming he had picked up an injury which ruled him out.
"It's his calf,” said the Sunderland boss, when quizzed on the midfielder’s absence.
“He has a slight calf injury."
