Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is keen to be reunited with £10million-rated West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho, according to reports.
We reported over the weekend that Sunderland were weighing up a move for the frontman.
And the Daily Mail are now saying that the Black Cats are ready to press ahead with a move for the Senegal international.
The 26-year-old is said to be keen on a new challenge, with West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan ready to give him the go-ahead for a summer transfer.
Sakho was signed for £3.5million from Metz and went on to score 12 goals in 26 games in his first season.
West Bromwich Albion are also said to be interested in the 6ft 1ins striker, who scored seven goals in 24 appearances last season.
Sakho is the latest in a long line of players linked with a summer move to Sunderland.
In recent days they have been linked with QPR centre-back Steven Caulker, Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, Walsall defender Rico Henry and Leeds United wideman Charlie Taylor.
