David Moyes has made two changes for the clash with West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Lamine Kone and Steven Pienaar return to the starting line-up, with Paddy McNair and Papy Djilobodji dropping down to the bench.

Kone is back after a hamstring strain, while Pienaar came on as a sub against Stoke City last week and returns to the starting line-up for the game against the 15th-placed Hammers.

Sunderland are bottom with just two points from their opening eight games.

Lee Cattermole misses out with a back injury, along with Jan Kirchhoff (hamstring), but like Adnan Januzaj (ankle) and Jason Denayer (adductor) they are making good progress.

Vito Mannone (elbow), Seb Larsson (knee) and Fabio Borini (thigh) all remain injured.

West Ham, meanwhile, are without Darren Randolph, Gokhan Tore, Sam Byram, Andy Carroll, Andre Ayew, Diafra Sakho and Arthur Masuaku.

Defender Aaron Cresswell is suspended after being sent off against Crystal Palace last weekend.
