South Shields FC capped a tremendous season yesterday by sealing the Northern League Division Two title.

Backed by a big travelling support, the Mariners romped to a 4-0 victory at Crook Town to ensure they could not be caught in the table.

Goals from Daryll Hall, Julio Arca, Warren Byrne and Lewis Teasdale secured the win, and Shields will lift the trophy on Tuesday when they host Willington at Mariners Park.

Following the win at Crook, some supporters went on to the pitch to celebrate with the players, and those jubilant scenes can be watched in the video accompanying this article.
