Newcastle sweating on fitness of Andros Townsend for Stoke clash
Andros Townsend is doubtful for tonight's game against Stoke City.
The Newcastle United winger will have a late fitness test ahead of the game at the Britannia Stadium.
And Steve McClaren, the relegation-threatened club's head coach, is still hopeful that the 24-year-old will be able to face Stoke.
Townsend scored his first goal for United in the 5-1 defeat to Chelsea last month.
McClaren will welcome back a number of players, including Paul Dummett and Vurnon Anita, from injury tonight.
