South Shields continue on the road to Wembley after stunning Stourbridge triumph
South Shields have progressed to the first round of the FA Trophy for the first time in their history – after a blistering performance against Stourbridge.
Jon Shaw, Jason Gilchrist and Blair Adams netted within the first 11 minutes to put Shields 3-0 up, before Robert Briggs made it four before the break as he converted from the penalty spot.
The Mariners will now welcome Southport to South Tyneside on Saturday, December 14 in the first round of the famous competition.
