Whiteleas and Harton CC entertain Ushaw Moor tomorrow at the Welfare Ground in an earlier start of 1pm.

Buoyed by their first league victory in seven attempts last Saturday against Murton, Whiteleas will be looking for another positive result against an in form Moor side.

Leas defeated Murton with four balls to spare after their opponents posted 189.

However, Whiteleas didn’t start too well, losing three wickets for just 29.

Skipper Owen Peterson led the fight back with a 73no, and he was supported by Ryan Dowens (24), Lewis Surtess (24) and Alan Beadle (23no).

Tomorrow, Peterson welcomes back batsman Nathan Ullah to the fold.

However, Peterson has a wicket-keeping crisis with both Scott Oliver and Andrew Potts unavailable, so he calls upon Ryan Dowens to deputise in their absence.

Following their impressive innings last Saturday, youngsters Surtees and Beadle retain their places in the team.

Iain Jones’ second XI make the long journey to Ushaw Moor, making several changes due to a number of injuries and holidays.
