A popular South Tyneside Festival is returning next weekend and promises a fun day out for all the family.
Hebburn Festival will feature a host of entertainment for people of all ages with live music, fairground rides, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and a number of stalls as well as various community group displays throughout the day.
The festival, which will be held on Saturday, August 15, from 11am to 3pm, at Carr Ellison Park, will be officially opened by the Mayor of South Tyneside, Coun Richard Porthouse at 11.30am.
The Mayor said: “This festival is a highlight in the town’s calendar and plays an important role in bringing the community together.
“With so much going on there is something to suit everyone. All we need now is some good weather which I hope will encourage people from South Tyneside and further afield to come along and join the fun.”
