Britain’s Got Talent finalist Danny Posthill is set to perform in South Tyneside later this year.
The comedy impressionist will appear in a show at South Shields Football Club’s Mariners Park, in Shaftesbury Avenue, on Saturday, November 21.
The event is being billed as ‘Night of a Thousand Stars’, with the Hartlepool-born funnyman set to run through his array of impressions.
The MC for the night will be former Newcastle United, Chelsea and Hartlepool United footballer Joe Allon, who will also host a talk-in with ex-Newcastle and Manchester United winger Keith Gillespie at Mariners Park on October 24.
The shows will be among the first to be held in one of the new function rooms at the ground, which are currently being renovated.
South Shields Football Club commercial manager Colin Docherty said: “We’re very excited that Danny is coming to Mariners Park.
“The nation fell in love with him earlier this year on Britain’s Got Talent, with Danny’s impressions not only excellent, but also hilarious. To have him at Mariners Park provides us with another great event, and we’re sure that tickets will be at a premium again. Joe Allon will be a brilliant MC for the night, and everyone at the club is looking forward to it.”
Tickets cost £20, which includes a pie and peas supper, and tickets for the Gillespie talk-in are on sale at the same price.
