THE debut album by Madness needs no introduction to those of a certain age, and its original 15 tracks still sound great.
After all, where could you go wrong with tunes as good as the title track, My Girl, Night Boat To Cairo, Bed & Breakfast Man and The Prince?
The problem is the cash-in nature of this 35th anniversary edition, which follows a 30th anniversary reissue.
It adds 14 tracks from a 1979 rehearsal tape, and includes a DVD disc featuring videos, Top of the Pops and Old Grey Whistle Test clips, and a BBC documentary.
For real Nutty Boys only, I’d say. 7/10. GW
