SCOTTISH rockers Simple Minds are back with their 16th album, seemingly re-energised by re-visiting their early work in their 5X5 tour.
This is their first album since 2009 and their best in two decades.
Jim Kerr & Co are close to their best from the word go, with opener Blindfolded based around a pulsating beat, and Midnight Walking even heavier.
The title track and On The Rooftop are classic Simple Minds.
But the standout track is the swaggering Broken Glass Park.
A welcome return to form. 7/10. GW
