ONE of the few remaining hardcore bands who exploded into the mainstream at the turn of the century are back with a new album and tour.
Welsh rockers Funeral For A Friend will release their latest LP, Chapter and Verse, through Distiller Records on Monday.
That night they play a gig at the Riverside in Newcastle as part of a short UK tour.
Bursting out of Bridgend in 2001, they were were hailed as the saviours of a scene in desperate need of fresh blood.
Now, 14 years on, the band still packs as much punch and purpose as they did in the beginning, if not more.
Chapter and Verse is their seventh full-length album, and a FFAF classic in the way it melds gruff attitude with melodic choruses.
Tickets for the gig, priced £16.50, are still available from the venue.
