One of Britain's biggest pop stars, Jess Glynne, today announced a North East arena date.
The 28-year-old Londoner made UK chart history earlier this month when I'll Be There became her seventh No. 1 single - making her the first British female solo artist to achieve the feat.
Today, she announced a new album, Always In Between, which will be released on Atlantic Records on September 21, plus an accompanying arena tour.
Glynne rose to prominence as a featured artist on Clean Bandit's Rather Be and Route 94's My Love, both of which topped the UK Singles Chart in 2014.
Her debut solo single, Right Here, reached the top 10 the same year, and her first studio album, 2015's I Cry When I Laugh, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.
It sold more than 2 million copies worldwide and included a mass of hit singles including Hold My Hand, Take My Home and Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself, establishing her as one of Britain's most important pop stars.
Celebrated for her intimate yet universally appealing themes, Glynne has connected with millions of people across the globe – demonstrating her peerless ability to tell the truths young women want to hear.
Always In Between finds Jess on a journey of self-acceptance as she comes to terms with her new-found fame, heartbreak and the well-known pressure of writing a second album.
The result is a triumph that captures the heart of what being a 28-year old woman in 2018 can feel like – trying to balance real life with everything that you want it to be.
The tour for the new album includes a show at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on Saturday, November 24.
Fans who pre-order Always In Between from the Jess Glynne webstore before midday on Tuesday, July 3, will get exclusive first access to tickets for the arena tour.
